First Impressions: The packaging of these is very appealing, with a metallic-style top and the same, handy size as Nyx's other lip products. I think the colour selection in this range is lovely, particularly for Autumn and Winter.
The Intense Butter Gloss smells delicious, like vanilla cupcake batter and the colours are definitely intense. The applicator is quite large and flat and I find I need to wipe quite a bit of product off, otherwise it is too messy to apply.
The size and shape of the applicator, along with the rich pigmentation of the gloss makes it difficult to get a neat application. Once on the lips, however, the gloss is amazingly rich, shiny and comfortable to wear.
Cup Of Tea Test: The formula of these glosses is quite thick although not sticky, and I was pleasantly surprised that there was not much transfer to my cup.
The product didn't look perfect on my lips after drinking, but can be re-applied over itself without any change to the texture on the lips.
After Eating: This was messy! But you would expect that from any glossy product and as you can see below, some colour was left on the lips.
Overall: I think the application of this thick product is tricky and takes a little while to get right. However, I love the comfort and the colour of these glosses. The shades are long-lasting and deliver the promised "extreme colour" in a super shiny, moisturising form. Perfect for achieving a smooth, glossy, bold lip look.
