L'Oreal Color Riche Collection Exclusive Reds

This is a collection of red lipsticks created with different skin tones in mind, each represented by a celebrity brand ambassador. They cost £6.99 each and according to L'Oréal's website, are "enriched with velvet spheres, pure pigments and jojoba oils".
I bought five shades two years ago and it seems that the range has since been updated, as I can't find JLo's Red or Doutzen's Red now on the UK highstreet, although both are available on Amazon, Ebay and other sites. The current shades promoted on the L'Oréal website are: Blake's Red (named for Blake Lively), Julianne's Red (for Julianne Moore), Liya's Red (for Liya Kebende) and Eva's Red (for Eva Longoria). The idea is that you can match your perfect red shade to the celebrity whose skin tone and colouring most resembles your own.
The packaging is very appealing and looks expensive for a drugstore collection. Each of the lipsticks has a scent and a creamy, matte finish. They are long-lasting and very comfortable for a matte range.

Blake's Red
I have heard that this shade is a colour dupe for Mac's famous Ruby Woo.

Doutzen's Red
I find this orangey red more forgiving than some of the darker shades. It has great staying power and adds a lot of brightness to any look.

Eva's Red
I really like this muted red. It reminds me of a 1940s lip look and is the shade I wear the most.

JLo's Red
This is a gorgeous, rich red, perfect for Winter.

Julianne's Red
This one is bright, but I love it!
These lipsticks are highly pigmented and leave a stain on the lips. They take a bit of careful application as they are such rich colours, but once in place they last well throughout the day. I think they are great value, and a lovely option for the fast-approaching festive season.
Julianne's Red
Have you tried these lipsticks or do you have any other drugstore red recommendations?

  3. I really love these formulas from L'Oreal and I've been wearing Liya's Red lately. I may have to hunt down Blakes Red if it's a dupe for Ruby Woo!
